On July 5th, 2013, faculty and staff members planted a quince tree on behalf of California Lutheran University. They were on a study trip which took them among other places to Wittenberg.

On October 18th, 2013, University President Dr. Christ Kimball planted a partner tree for California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, California, USA.
