On March 11th, 2012, during the 5th International Theological Seminar of the Lutheran World Federation, Pastor Togar Satria Simatupang (right, reading the selected Bible verse) planted a hawthorn tree on behalf of the Christian Protestant Angkola Church, Indonesia. A child from the Protestant Elementary School in Wittenberg is ready to help by watering the tree.
On February 4th, 2014, General Secretary Togar S. Simatupang (1st row, 3rd from left) planted a tree on behalf of the Christian Protestant Angkola Church in Indonesia. Along with many congregation members, a delegation from the United Evangelical Mission in Germany was able to be present for the tree planting at “Porlak Martin Luther.”
