Planting in the Luther Garden :

On April 17th, 2011, Bishop Niels Henrik Arendt (right, next to the tree) and his wife Ingrid Vilslev (left, next to the tree) planted a small leaved linden tree on behalf of the Diocese of Haderslev and the Cathedral Congregation of Haderslev of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Denmark. There is a long-standing partnership between the cities of Haderslev and Wittenberg.

Planting the partner tree :

On October 2nd, 2011, during a visit of the partner congregation from Wittenberg, Bishop Niels Henrik Arend (left, next to the tree) planted the partner tree of the Cathedral Congregation in front of the bishop’s office in Haderslev, Denmark, together with the Wittenberg Church District Provost Siegfried Kasparick and the Director of the LWF Center Wittenberg, Pastor Hans W. Kasch. The Gospel Choir of the Wittenberg Castle Church provided music for the worship service.
