Planting in the Luther Garden :

On October 13th, 2014, Dr. h.c. Nikolaus Schneider, Chairperson of the Council of the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD) (with spade, shoveling the soil) planted a quince tree on behalf of the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD). Music was provided by a brass ensemble from Leipzig.

Planting the partner tree :

On March 27th, 2015, on the occasion of the Council Meeting of the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD), Prof. Heinrich Bedford-Strohm (with spade, shoveling the soil) planted an “Ebersdorfer” apple tree as partner tree in the garden of the church office in Hannover during an outdoor prayer service.
