Planting in the Luther Garden :

On May 25th, 2013, Church President Pastor Joachim Liebig (right, citing the selected Bible verse next to Pastor Hans W. Kasch, Director of the LWF Center Wittenberg) planted an apple tree on behalf of the Evangelical Church of Anhalt, Germany. He was accompanied by members of his church.

Planting the partner tree :

On October 21st, 2013, during a meeting of the church leadership, Church President Joachim Liebig (with spade) planted an apple tree as partner tree for the Evangelical Church of Anhalt. Also present were Pastor Hans Kasch from the LWF Center Wittenberg (right, watering the tree), the chair of the Anhalt Church Synod Andreas Schindler (left, with watering can), and pastors from the United Church of Christ, the American partner church.
