On July 18th, 2010, Church President Dr. Walter Altmann (pictured) planted a bird cherry tree on behalf of the Evangelical Church of the Lutheran Confession in Brazil.

Planting the partner tree :

On July 9th, 2010, President Pastor Walter Altmann (left, with spade), Vice President Pastor Carlos Möller (behind, with umbrella), newly elected Chair of the Church Council Mr. Oávio Schüler, Vice President Léa Stange de Oliveira (3rd from left), and other members of the Church Council planted a lapacho tree as partner tree for the Evangelical Church of the Lutheran Confession in Brazil. The lapacho tree is a typical Brazilian tree widely found in the Atlantic rainforest.
