Planting in the Luther Garden :

On June 6th, 2015, during a study trip, Pastor Tilmann Knopf (6th from right) and congregation members planted a “Schöner von Nordhausen” apple tree on behalf of the Evangelical congregation (Augsburg and Heidelberg confession) Salzburg Church of Christ, Austria.

Planting the partner tree :

On March 29th, 2015, Palm Sunday, a linden tree was planted as partner tree during a festival service on the grounds of the Evangelical Center of the Christuskirche (Church of Christ) in Salzburg, Austria. Pastor Tilmann Knopf (right, next to the tree) recalled the history of Protestants in Salzburg, who experienced religious persecution and exile, but also bravely risked starting anew. Today, people of diverse backgrounds and traditions, connected in Protestant faith, make up the Protestant Congregation of the Salzburg Christuskirche.
