Planting in the Luther Garden :

On April 22nd, 2016, Pastor Juha Eklund (right) and Pastor Pirkko Varis (2nd from right, receiving the certificate from the Director of Studies of the LWF Center Wittenberg, Pastor Joachim Zirkler) planted a silver linden tree on behalf of the Evangelical Lutheran Church Congregations in Lappeenranta, Finland. They were accompanied by other members of the congregation and took communion together as part of the tree planting ceremony.
