Planting in the Luther Garden :

On October 2nd, 2016, Queen Margrethe II of Denmark (seated), accompanied by representatives of the Danish Royal Court, the Danish government, and the Danish embassy in Germany, planted a flowering ash tree on behalf of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Denmark. Many citizens and distinguished guests took part in the tree planting, including Dr. Reiner Haseloff, Ministerpräsident of Saxony-Anhalt (2nd from right); representatives of the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD), including Chairperson of the EKD-Council Heinrich Bedford-Strohm (3rd from right); and representatives of the City of Wittenberg.
