On June 28th, 2016, Bishop Hans-Joachim Kiderlen (left, receiving certificate from Pastor Joachim Zirkler, LWF Center Wittenberg) planted a London plane tree on behalf of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Georgia.

On April 9th, 2016, in remembrance of 500 years of the Reformation, Bishop Dr. Frank Otfried July from Württemberg, Germany (6th from left) planted a linden tree in the garden of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tiflis as partner tree for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Georgia.
