On November 16th, 2014, during the 10th International Theological Seminar of the Lutheran World Federation, Bishop Samuel Simeon Thomas (with spade) planted a “Rote Sternrenette” apple tree on behalf of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of The Gambia. A child from the Protestant Elementary School in Wittenberg is ready to help by watering the tree.
