On March 21st, 2015, Pastor J. Krönert (1st row, 5th from right) planted a field maple tree on behalf of the Evangelical Lutheran Congregation in Schneeberg-Neustädtel “Church of Our Lady,” Germany. He was accompanied by Mrs. Christine Albrecht (1st row, 4th from right), who had largely initiated the tree planting, along with other members of the congregation.
On the occasion of the miners’ worship on Reformation Day, October 31st, 2014, Pastor Krönert and Ms. Christine Albrecht (in foreground) planted a hornbeam tree as partner tree. During the worship service, it was remembered that Protestant preaching began because of the engagement of the miners in Schneeberg/Neustädtel already in 1518, only one year after the posting of the 95 Theses in Wittenberg.
