Planting in the Luther Garden :

On July 10th, 2014, Pastor Petros Sakhi Dlamini (center, next to the Director of Studies of the LWF Center Wittenberg, Pastor Joachim Zirkler) and Pastor Hermann-Georg Meyer (right) planted a “Schöner von Nordhausen” apple tree on behalf of the partnership between the Evangelical Lutheran Ondini Circuit, South Africa, and the Evangelical Lutheran Church District of Uelzen, Germany. They were accompanied by Ms. Beate Tito, member of the partnership committee.

Planting the partner tree :

On May 6th, 2016, during another encounter between the Evangelical Lutheran Ondini Circuit (ELCSA), South Africa, and the Evangelical Lutheran Church District of Uelzen, Germany, Church Superintendent Sibusio David Xaba, Ms. Lina Robert Mazibuko, and Pastor Hermann-Georg Meyer planted an apple tree as partner tree to the Luthergarten and symbol of the intensive partnership between the two church districts. Another partner tree is planned to be planted at the next partnership encounter in Ondini.
