Planting in the Luther Garden :

On June 7th, 2012, Moderator Pastor Francis Amenu (watering the tree) planted a hawthorn tree on behalf of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana. He was accompanied by President Brigitte Boehme of Bremen and Pastor Hannes Menke, General Secretary of the North German Mission.

Planting the partner tree :

On August 22nd, 2013, Pastor Francis Amenu (6th from left), former church moderator, planted a cinnamon tree on behalf of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Ghana in front of the church headquarters. Representatives of the Bremen “Mission Family” – partners from the North German Mission in Bremen and the Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Togo – were present. They had met already the previous year in Wittenberg to plant the tree for their church there.
