On November 1st, 2009, the first 25 trees in the Luthergarten were adopted. Pastor Eliana Briante from Milan (center, next to Pastor Hans W. Kasch, Director of the LWF Center Wittenberg) planted a red maple tree on behalf of the Federation of Protestant Churches in Italy.
