On May 9th, 2017, Tobias Lochmann, Sexton at the Frauenkirche Dresden, planted a silver linden tree on behalf of the Frauenkirche Dresden Foundation, accompanied by Pastor Sebastian Feydt (center), Pastor Angelika Behnke (2nd from right, next to the Director of Studies of the LWF Center Wittenberg, Pastor Joachim Zirkler), Church Musician Matthias Grünert (2nd from left), Organist Samuel Kummer (1st from left) and other staff members of the church.
On April 25th, 2017, a red beech tree was planted on behalf of all staff and volunteers of the Stiftung Frauenkirche Dresden at the Elias Cemetery in Dresden. The Elias Cemetery is particularly connected to the Stiftung Frauenkirche Dresden, as the mausoleums built into the cemetery wall were designed by George Bähr, architect of the Baroque Frauenkirche.
