On June 10th, 2013, Pastor Khamdeng Kounthapanya (right, receiving the certificate from Pastor Hans W. Kasch, Director of the LWF Center Wittenberg) planted a quince tree on behalf of the Lao Evangelical Church. As a member of a 21-person delegation from the Mekong region, he visited Wittenberg as part of a study trip from Mission EineWelt (Mission OneWorld) in Neuendettelsau, Germany.
