Planting in the Luther Garden :

On January 16th, 2015, Jamie Stallmann (watering the tree), representing Professor Ruth Kath, planted a “Finkenwerder Herbstprinz” apple tree on behalf of Luther College in Decorah, Iowa (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America). Professor Ruth Kath, who played a decisive role in organizing the tree planting, unfortunately could not take part.

Planting the partner tree :

On February 2nd, 2017, Bishop Elizabeth Eaton, Presiding Bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, planted a partner tree for Luther College on its campus during the opening of the college’s Reformation commemorations.
