On September 16th, 2011, Bishop Charles Mjema (pictured) planted a small leaved linden tree on behalf of the Pare Diocese of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania.
On June 27th, 2014, Bishop Charles Rabson Mjema (left) planted the partner tree for the Pare Diocese in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania. He was accompanied by Assistant Bishop Pastor Timothy Jonas Msangi (right), as well as Pastor Hans W. Kasch (center), the director of the LWF Center Wittenberg in Germany. Many congregation members, the church choir, and a group of visitors from Germany took part in the worship service.
