On June 14th, 2014, Pastor Wilhelm Buhren (pictured with the certificate of tree planting), accompanied by congregation members of the various churches in Brühl, planted a “Finkenwerder Herbstprinz” apple tree on behalf of the Council of Christian Churches in Brühl, Germany. The planting took place as part of a shared pilgrimage.
On October 31st, 2014, just 4 months after the planting in Wittenberg, a “Finkenwerder Herbstprinz” apple tree was planted in the city green space at the old cemetery in the Mühlenstraße (Mill Street) as partner tree for the Council of Christian Churches in Brühl, Germany.
