On May 4th, 2011, Bishop Emeritus William Huras (left, with spade) and committee chair Ms. Marga Watters Knebel (right) planted a small leaved linden tree on behalf of Waterloo Lutheran Seminary in Waterloo, Canada.

Planting the partner tree :

On October 2nd, 2012, during a board meeting, board chair Ms. Marge Watters Knebel (right) and Bishop Emeritus of the Eastern Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada, Pastor Dr. William Huras (left), planted a red maple tree together as the partner tree on the grounds of the Lutheran Seminary in Waterloo.
