On April 26th, 2017, Pastor Hans W. Kasch, Director of the LWF Center Wittenberg, representing the congregation, planted a sweetgum tree on behalf of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oldwick, New Jersey, USA. The donations for the tree planting were collected on the occasion of the 300-year anniversary of the congregation in 2014.
